An uninterrupted night’s sleep doesn’t always come easy. Meredith, a dancer who leads an active lifestyle filled with workouts and recovery, is all too familiar with this challenge. Today, she’s thankful to experience the satisfying feeling of sleeping through the night – a transformation she describes as “life-changing.”

As a part of our Sleep Stories series, we visited Meredith to hear more about her personal journey. We asked her to tell us what a good night’s sleep means to her and share how Tempur-Pedic® has helped her achieve deep, restful sleep.

How long have you had your Tempur-Pedic mattress?

Meredith: Almost five years.

How would you describe the feel of TEMPUR® material?

Meredith: I would say it's kind of like crawling onto a giant marshmallow and then just sinking into it. It's total body relaxation and every part of your body feels supported.

Why did you choose Tempur-Pedic?

Meredith: I had scoliosis when I was 10, and I had a full spine fusion when I was 21. In the recovery process, I was having even more pain than what was expected. We figured out that it was coming from my [old] mattress. So, we immediately switched over to a Tempur-Pedic. It was the difference between me waking up every four hours and then within a couple of days, I was sleeping through the night. It was really, really life changing.^

Can you tell us more about your outlook on your experience?

Meredith: Going into the surgery, I didn't know if I would be able to dance again. I really had no idea what was going to be on the other side of this surgery. As a dancer, it's terrifying to walk into an operating room and not know what life is going to be like on the other side of that. Tempur-Pedic has made such a huge difference in my recovery process – and in my day-to-day life after surgery – by having that place to come back to every night. It's a place where I can get deep sleep. It's been a total game changer for my career.
